A bustling city of culture and commerce, Rouen is the capital of Normandy and home to the fifth-largest port in France, yet has a small city centre making it easy to orientate oneself. Rouen is rich in history from Medieval times when it was the seat of the Exchequer of Normandy in the Middle Ages to when it was heavily damaged during WWII on D-day. Rouen’s illustrious former occupants include Corneille, Flaubert, Monet (who painted the harmonious architecture of Rouen Cathedral again and again), and Joan of Arc. The package we have put together in Rouen includes language learning and history related afternoon activities.

This is a small family run school which offers top quality teaching and is able to provide a wide range of exciting educational activities centred on Normany’s history and close connection with the UK. The school is located in a bright and airy modern office block just a short step from the bustling modern downtown and only 12 minutes walk from the historic city centre. Rouen’s busy yet pedestrian city centre offers excellent shopping, a wide range of cafes and restaurants, as well as museums and historic monuments. The actual centre is quite small so it is a very manageable place to take a group of children.

The real advantage of this location for teachers is that we can tailor cross curricular programs involving language study and history (as above) literature, cuisine, and art, or a combination of all of these.
