Approximately half way down Spain's Mediterranean coast lies
Valencia, its third largest city. Blessed with a glorious climate,
international acclaim on the footie circuit and fun-loving inhabitants
(who can blame them with such proximity to the beach), this place
certainly knows how to throw a good party: the literal explosion
of Las Fallas festival, in March, is the culmination of them all.
And, being the birthplace of Spain's most famous dish, paella,
it could also be said that the valencianos know how to cook. So
why is the city not completely beseiged by tourists, like so many
other parts of Spain? Ours is not to reason why - ours is simply
to sit back and enjoy it, and tell you that Valencia makes a great
destination to learn Spanish.
