| Russian is the most widely spoken of the Slavic
languages and is one of the official languages
of the United Nations. Today it is mainly spoken
in Russia but continues to be widely spoken, as
well as an important means of communication, between
other nations of the former Soviet Union. The
country itself is one of Europe's most historical
and boasts an atmospheric blend of styles. It
will probably always be remembered as the home
of the Tsars, however - the sense of glory, decadence
and intrigue never quite forgotten as you dream
of its departed aristocrats, writers and villains
