Nestled on the Baie des Anges
on France's glamorous Côte d'Azur,
Antibes may at first seem an unlikely
place to learn French. Ideally located
between Nice and Cannes, it doesnt
let the Riviera down in terms of its
stunning coastline or quality of life,
but what it does offer is a more
traditional and laid-back environment in which
to relax and study. Sheltered by its 16th century
ramparts, present-day Antibes has an attractive
harbour and a charming historic centre of narrow,
winding streets. So you can dunk your croissant
on a sun-soaked café terrace...or head
for one of the towns pristine white beaches
and go for a dip yourself in the glistening Mediterranean.
The
School
The school is split between
two buildings, with most students
attending 'Le Château', a beautiful
house surrounded by flowering gardens
and just a few minutes from the centre
of Antibes. Established in 1985, the
classrooms are bright and all are
equipped with TV and video
- although with the climate as inviting as it
is, classes may also take place on the terrace
outside. All teachers are university graduates,
possess strong interpersonal skills and are adept
at creating a friendly and relaxed environment
where students can progress at their own speed
yet achieve great results.

Feedback
The course was very good - although
I did so much in the week it was almost
too much to take in! Antibes was a
very nice place to be, and I went
to the jazz festival which was great.
Martine, my host, was a lovely lady
to stay with and she made me feel
really welcome and part of the family.
I'm now doing another course back
in the UK to revise everything I learnt.
