Think of long sandy beaches
and a glitzy French seaside resort,
and you'll most likely picture the
Côte d'Azur. But nestled in
the southwest corner of France, just
a stone's throw from Spain, is the
glamorous town of Biarritz, perhaps
not as famous as its Riviera neighbours
but no less stylish.
|
|
A quaint fishing village until the mid 19th century,
all changed for Biarritz when Napoleon III and
Empress Eugenie came to visit and fell in love
with the area's natural beauty. A few more royals
and some tasteful development later, Biarritz
is now a fashionable resort with elegant architecture,
some great spots to go out, and its pièce
de résistance of miles of golden sand,
making it a true beach lovers paradise.

Conveniently located close
to Biarritz town centre (20 mins by
foot, 10 mins by bike), the train
station and airport, this school has
recently opened. Following the success
of its sister school in Bordeaux,
the school already benefits from 11
years of expertise and experience.
It is located |
|
in a modern and spacious building dating from
the 70s, and boasts 15 bright, air-conditioned
classrooms as well as an internet and self-study
room for students outside class hours. All teachers
are fully qualified in teaching French to foreigners
and their skill, enthusiasm and spontaneity guarantees
a fun time in class!

The French course was very good
and my teacher made lessons really
interesting. I also enjoyed living
with my host family and Roxanne, my
host mum, was a great cook. I even
tried duck for the first time! Surfing
was another first - after a few lessons
I was able to stand up! I was very
proud of myself and told all my friends
back at school.
