Coming to Florence is like
discovering treasure after a very
pleasurable hunt through rolling Tuscan
countryside, olive groves and vineyards.
An Aladdin's cave of basilicas, frescoes
and piazzas, it does not fail to seduce
a steady stream of admirers, year
after year. Art, music, poetry and
all
that the Italian Renaissance stood for back in
the 15th century is no less impressive in the
Firenze of today. With Dante, da Vinci and Donatello
your household names, where better to learn Italian
that in the birthplace of its masters?
The School
The school was founded in 1982 and
is located right in the heart of the
city, in a prestigious 17th century
palace. With windows overlooking the
river Arno, students can enjoy wonderful
views of Florence as well as of the
famous Ponte Vecchio (although preferably
not during class). There
are 11 classrooms in all, each spacious, light
and comfortably furnished, and holding up to 120
students during peak months. A friendly atmosphere
is established from day one, with a welcome by
teachers and staff and an introduction to the
many activities organised by the school during
your time there - a relatively easy task given
that Florence is something of an open-air museum.

Feedback
I absolutely loved both the
school and my accommodation. The teaching
was very professional and my instructor,
Erica, was patient and wonderful.
I plan to go back at some point and
hone my Italian. Thanks for all your
hard work and efficiency!
