In the world of Spanish language
learning, Salamanca is the place to
be. Doing for Spain what Oxford does
for England, and Bologna for Italy,
Salamanca is home to one of the country's
oldest and most prestigious universities
- meaning high academic standards
with a great choice of
extra-curricular activities. Just two hours west
of Madrid, they say that the Spanish spoken here
is one of the clearest, and most highly regarded,
in all Spain. Watching the world go by in Salamancas
energetic Plaza Mayor, surrounded by the warm
beige sandstone thats echoed in buildings
throughout the city, it's easy to see why students
flock here as much to study as to have fun.
The
School
The school is just a few minutes
from the Plaza Mayor and has been
running Spanish programmes for many
years. With spacious modern classrooms,
a library, computer room and common
areas, students of all ages can enjoy
excellent study and social facilities
during their time here. The school
has designed its own course material, which is
regularly updated and adapted, while all teachers
are modern language graduates who pride themselves
in being open-minded and dynamic. They are also
there to ensure, of course, that you make the
most of your stay in Salamanca, with an extensive
social and activities programme containing something
for everyone.
* NB. During the summer students may attend the
junior school premises.

Feedback
I absolutely
loved every minute of it. The classes
were fantastic and Salamanca is beautiful
and a manageable size - perfect for
learning a language. I was extremely
impressed with the helpfulness and
professionalism that I encountered
at Cactus - Im recommending
it to all my friends and will definitely
be doing it again."
